About Me
(See some more happy customers in my gallery!)
I’m a licensed, insured, and pet-CPR certified sitter (and walker/runner/hiker!) with over twelve years of professional experience. I began dog walking/sitting casually in Boston in my early 20s, continued with a small, independent company when I moved to western MA, and started my own company when I moved back to Boston about five years ago. Other experience includes fostering dozens of pets and regular volunteering in the medical wings of two different animal shelters, one past and one present, where I've received a certification in Fear-Free pet care techniques.
I walk pets of all breeds and sizes, and love those facing behavioral and medical challenges - more on that in the “special needs” tab. However, while I do have a special interest in this area, I strongly believe that all animals benefit from a caregiver committed to learning their unique needs, preferences, and styles of communication. These are things I’ve practiced, and they’re things that are as important for the most well-adjusted cat in the world as they are for a struggling, reactive dog.
I'm available for long-term sits, I work every holiday, and I accommodate last-minute bookings (including walks/runs when life just ran late) whenever possible. I aim to be an accessible and flexible sitter, especially with established clients.
In my free time, I stay active through running, cycling, and yoga. I’m a “plant person,” in addition to being an animal person, and enjoy trying to identify native plants, caring for my houseplants, and cooking vegetarian meals. I like to wrap it all up with really pretty much any dating show available- please let me know if your pet would like to Netflix binge with me!
I carry insurance through Pet Care Insurance Co., backed by Lloyd's of London, and hold certification in Fear-Free Pet Care through the MSPCA. Additionally, I am a member of Pet Sitters International and am Red Cross certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.
